Bangladesh Football Federation along with K Sports are going to launch the first women’s franchise football league, named ‘Women’s Super League’ in the South Asian region.
The franchise league is expected to be held in May in Dhaka and Sylhet, with a total of five or six franchise teams.
Each franchise will have 18 players, including 13 locals and five foreigners.
The announcement was made during a logo unveiling ceremony at a city hotel on Monday.
BFF president Kazi Salahudidn, AFC Executive Committee member, Bangladesh women’s wing chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron, K Sports CEO Fahad Karim, BFF EC members, women’s team players, and celebrities were present on the occasion.
